Armageddon

Id never seen it, Armageddon that is. People would talk about it and when I would respond, "hmph never seen it," and then I got that look.  That look that says, "what kind of girl are you!?!"  So, with that, we had it delivered to us via Netflix.  I have to admit, I loved it, and maybe even shed a tear... or two... or a couple.

The Real World Tahoe

This is the true story of nine friends who are picked to live in a house, and  have their lives tapped. To embrace the mountains and find out when people stop being polite and start getting real, Real World Tahoe.
Well not really. We didn’t get picked, we paid for it and our lives weren’t tapped but we did take a ton of pictures.
Spring break, where have you been all my life and why have you never shown me Tahoe before.  This spring break, after a failed attempt to go to Cabo, we got hooked up with a beautiful home in South Lake.  It was my first time to Tahoe and my first trip with my roommates, or any college friends for that matter.
After a two-day stop in San Jose/San Francisco where I got to see Colleen, we completed the journey from sand to snow.  It was absolutely breathtaking.  The mountains were covered with snow and the air was crisp.
To be honest we didn’t do much.  We probably went in the jacuzzi twice a day and considered a snowball fight to be exhausting.  I took plenty of relaxing baths and made time for leisure reading.  We played games and made every meal together.  We laughed and had talks ranging from love, life, and philosophy.  Some hit the slopes and some took a little extra time to enjoy the scenery.  We went thrift shopping and took advantage of happy hour.  We learned to play SCUM and Shea cried three times in the Patriot... and did I mention i BEAR crawled into our backyard?
Relaxation was needed.  Sleeping was needed. And a good old fashion snowball fight was needed.  I think it just might be the cure after a week of midterms.

Ismail Pasha PASHED through the Suez Canal

We all love the world and reading the news, we think we are nomads, we have nose rings, and we all had no idea what the Boer Wars of 1872 were up until last night.  Its mid-term week.  The week I realized that I had no idea what was really going on in my Europe and the World class, and neither did anyone else for that matter.
We split up the 80-term study guide with 14 essay potential essays prompts and about 30 map terms.  It was rough.  We made up silly songs to remember things and assured ourselves we knew our stuff, but then the clock struck midnight.  Seeing as we weren’t finished, we needed a plan.  My suggestion was to go to a 24-hour coffee shop nearby, but Paige and Beth had other plans.  Their brilliant idea was to break into the library.  I didn’t think they were serious… they were.  Apparently people do this? I’m still confused to be honest.
Paige hid in the stairwell while everything got locked up. The rest of us got the snack essentials: ruffles, french onion dip, and coffee to fuel us for the next couple hours.  We got the call that we were good to go.  We quickly walked to the front of the library and we were let in, fearing an alarm.  We hid in an area far from any windows and stayed until 3 am.  We casually walked out: smarter and much sleepier.

Trespassing? I think it counts.  Another thing to cross off my list....
